Sturgis, South Dakota July 11, 2012 - Country Music Legend Tanya Tucker will join the Hoel Motors Celebrity Charity Ride during the 2012 Sturgis Rally. The Hoel Motors Celebrity Charity Ride takes place each year during the annual Sturgis Rally and has grown in popularity for the past seven years.
This year, celebrities on the ride will include Jesses James Dupree of Jackyl, Roman Glick of Jackyl, Angie from Angieland and Michael Ballard owner of the Full Throttle Saloon.
The ride is dedicated to the heritage of the Sturgis Rally. In 1938 Pappy Hoel along with his wife Pearl, gathered with friends who were motorcycle enthusiasts for a "good time" including riding, picnics and racing. Little did the Hoel's know that this gathering would grow into the World's Largest Motorcycle Rally, the "Grand Daddy" of them all, or did they? Over the past 68 years, Pappy and Pearl Hoel were dedicated to nurturing and expanding this motorcycle event to ensure its success. This dedication continued until the passing of Pappy in 1989 and just a short time ago with passing of Pearl.
We now honor and continue in Pappy and Pearl Hoel's footsteps and vision. We continue the adventures just as they have over the years. With Hoel Motors we ensure the life of their spirits.
J.C. "Pappy" Hoel was born and raised in Sturgis, South Dakota. As a young man Pappy owned a natural ice business. When the refrigerator was introduced, natural ice was no longer a commodity and with that, Pappy began a career in the motorcycle industry.
This year the ride will be filmed as a part of the 4th Season of the hit television show, Full Throttle Saloon, which airs on TruTV. The ride departs from the Full Throttle Saloon on Wednesday, August 8th, 2012. You may register for the ride online at www.fullthrottlesaloon.com or by following the link below.
